The Rett Syndrome Association of Australia Inc. (RSAA) is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC).

With the end of the financial year just 2 weeks away, please consider making a donation and or recommending to your work place and friends to also make a donation, to the Rett Syndrome Association of Australia Inc, to benefit from a tax deduction. The Rett Syndrome Association of Australia Inc (RSAA) is an Australian approved registered charity and all donations over $2 can be claimed as a tax deduction.

Over the years the RSAA has provided support to parents, siblings and cares, organised and funded state based family gatherings, as well as funded research and many projects to benefit Australians with Rett Syndrome. We have also sponsored Australian researchers to attend overseas Rett Conferences to present their findings and work with the rest of the world in aiding treatments on Rett Syndrome. Locally the RSAA promote community awareness, facilitate conferences and workshop in Australia for anyone affected by Rett Syndrome.

More recently The Rett Syndrome Association of Australia has provided funding to the Australian Clinical Research on Rett Syndrome being undertaken by Professor Christodoulou at the Children Medical Research Institute Sydney, and assisted in the collaboration with The Maastricht University Medical Centre in the Netherlands to undertake further development on this research. This included sponsoring one of Professor Christodoulou’s understudies, Nasim Sangani who has relocated to the Netherlands with samples and data for further analysis and development under the instruction of Professor Curfs Director Gouverneur Kremers Centrum a leading Rett Professor in Europe.

We are also currently working on running clinical trials in Australia with experimental drugs to treat aspects of Rett Syndrome as well as one day a cure, and planning to hold further major conferences on Rett Syndrome in the near future.

The RSAA has over the years relied solely on donations and memberships and parent volunteers to do what we do for our Australian children.

We need the ongoing support from individuals, communities and businesses to ensure that we can continue to provide support and research to the Australian Rett Community,
