RSAA represented at Rett syndrome conference held in Rome in September 2018

Posted by Bill Callaghan in News 02 Nov 2018

Rett syndrome research, towards the future‘ was the theme of a recent conference  held in Rome on 27-29 September 2018. The aim, of what was essentially a meeting of scientists, was to provide an opportunity to discuss recent advances in Rett syndrome research. Clicking on the following link RettRome2018_Program will display a copy of the conference programme.

Tony Cagliuso, RSAA Treasurer and father of 26 year old Raquelle who has Rett syndrome, represented the Rett Syndrome Association of Australia (RSAA) at this conference. He was there to learn, share, network and inform, all of which he successfully accomplished. His impressions of proceedings can be read by clicking on his report Report on the Rome Conference Sept 2018   The final paragraph of that document refers to a presentation Tony gave about RSAA staging the 9th World Congress on Rett Syndrome in Surfers Paradise in 2020, news of which was well received by the international audience.
